Faculty

Program Introduction :
Transportation is an industry that, as a whole, is estimated to comprise 16% of the gross domestic product and effects the lives of every citizen. Professional opportunities for those with the skills to plan, develop, and implement transportation planning operations have never been greater and are expanding rapidly. The Transportation Engineering Master’s Degree offered by Civil Engineering Department of The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) has been developed to prepare participants to tackle transportation engineering problems in both the public and private sector.

Completion of the Transportation Engineering Program can support activities or careers in:

Transportation Policy Analysis

Transit Planning and Operations

Urban and State-wide Transportation Planning

Carrier and Shipper Transportation Analysis

Transportation and Development Economic Analysis

Federal and State Transportation Strategic Planning

Transportation Planning and Engineering Consulting

Transportation Systems Management

Courses :

Though a joint teaching commitment between the University of Alabama in Huntsville, The University of Alabama, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, students interested in transportation have the ability to take courses through a variety of distance learning methods, including video tapping and interactive television.
